Basic Butter Frosting

Ingredients

• 3 tbs butter
• 3 tbs shortening
• 1½ tsp vanilla
• 3 C confectioners' sugar
• 1½ tbs milk or cream

Directions

1. Cream Butter: Beat butter with vanilla until smooth.
2. Add Sugar: Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating well after each addition.
3. Finish: Stir in milk and beat until the frosting reaches a smooth, spreadable consistency.
