Carmelized Ham & Swiss Buns

  1. Assemble Rolls: Spread horseradish sauce on the cut sides of the roll bottoms. Layer with ham and cheese; replace tops.
  2. Arrange: Place sandwiches in a single layer in a greased 13x9" baking dish.
  3. Make Topping: In a small skillet, melt butter over medium-high. Add onion and cook 1-2 minutes until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Chill: Pour butter mixture over the rolls. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  5. Bake: Bake covered at 350°F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 5-10 minutes more, until golden brown.
