Hard-Boiled Eggs
Ingredients
- 8-12 eggs
- 2 qt salted water
Directions
- Boil Water: Bring water to a gentle boil.
- Add Eggs: Pierce the large end of each egg with a push pin, then gently lower eggs into the water.
- Cook: Cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Cool: Drain and transfer eggs to an ice bath to stop cooking.
- Peel: Peel eggs under cold running water.
Chef's Notes
- The hole in the shell will allow air to escape during the cooking process.
